Skyworth pushed its own research and development OLED TV screen is BOE chip from Huawei

On November 16, Skyworth today launched a first independently developed OLED TV M1 series product in cooperation with BOE and Hass at its headquarters in Shenzhen.

The new M1 series jointly announced by Skyworth and BOE is a 55-inch 4K model. In addition to the ultra-thin fashion design with an OLED benchmark, the processor uses Huawei Hass chips, and the screen is supported by BOE. The company achieved full independent R&D of its core components and bid farewell to the long-term dependence of high-end OLED screens on foreign manufacturers.

It is reported that Skyworth's partner BOE (BOE), which has independently researched and developed OLED TV screens, just announced last month that it has invested in the establishment of a sixth-generation AMOLED production line in Mianyang, Sichuan, together with the previous generation of Ordos 5.5 and Chengdu's sixth generation line, BOE. Already have three OLED production lines.
Although OLED panels have always been the focus of debate in the industry on the issue of yield and longevity, with the development of display technologies, OLED has been undisputedly called the development trend of future display technologies. According to incomplete statistics, there are currently more than 10 OLED TV brands in the world. LGD, an OLED panel maker in South Korea, previously stated that OLED TVs will occupy 50% of the global high-end TV market in 3 years.

According to data from Ove Cloud Network, sales of OLED TVs in the Chinese market will continue to increase by 400% in 2016 and 2017. The research organization IHS also stated that by 2018, the global market share of OLED TVs in China will stabilize at around 20%.
At the conference, we also saw a new 98-inch 8K TV product jointly launched by Skyworth and BOE.

Skyworth did not announce the price and listing information of the new M1-series 55-inch OLED TVs it developed independently. However, Skyworth Liu Zhizhi said that the new product price will be the same with the international brand OLED similar products.
