LT3762 driver controller for low EMI noise

Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) announced the launch of Power by Linearâ„¢ LT3762, a 60V output, high efficiency, synchronous, step-up LED driver controller with a programmable internal LED PWM signal generator and spread spectrum frequency modulation Function to achieve low EMI noise. The general-purpose LT3762 has a built-in rail-to-rail current detection amplifier, which implements the high-side or low-side current detection function in addition to the synchronous boost, which is conducive to synchronous buck mode and buck-boost mode topology and non-synchronous SEPIC design .

The LT3762's 2.5V to 38.5V input voltage range and synchronous operation are ideal for automotive power systems, portable instruments, industrial applications, medical instruments, and architectural lighting. An auxiliary on-chip buck-boost converter provides the gate drive voltage necessary in low-voltage systems, and when combined with a low quiescent current of 500µA maximum and 1µA turn-off current (TA = 25°C) , Can achieve high efficiency in a wide range of input voltage and output current.

In EMI sensitive systems, the optional spread spectrum frequency modulation function of the LT3762 can be enabled to reduce the actual switching frequency noise. Synchronize an on-chip PWM signal generator to the internal oscillator to achieve the lowest noise performance. Internal PWM generation provides 250:1 dimming ratio; in addition, external 3000:1 dimming or analog dimming can also be used.
