After you see this on the glasses, you can shoot them.

The Verge Chinese Station reported on November 30

Thousands of people spent a month lining up in front of vending machines across the United States to buy Snapchat Spectacles photo glasses. It seemed to make people feel illusion: Is smart glasses popular again?

Remember that when Google Glass was first introduced, someone was wearing it to the bar and was suspected of sneak shots of the last big shot? It may be that the Google Glass’s camera is too prominent and too threatening, at least Snapchat Spectacles looks softer. It also allows other companies to see new business opportunities, such as PogoTec.

The little-known PogoTec is a small company. Its product PogoCam does not even have a video on YouTube. Only a few official renderings are on the official website. PogoCam is called “Modular Wearable Camera”. It uses magnetic absorption design. There is a special small device “PogoTrack” installed inside the temple (like a metal strip). PogoCam can be easily absorbed and removed at any time.

However, PogoCam did not get rid of the design of Google glasses camera, the overall shape is still rectangular and obvious. It's still very obvious when you absorb it on the temples. Obviously there is no cleverness with Snapchat Spectacles. In addition, the camera's hardware is also not outstanding, only 5 million pixels, can store 100 photos and 12 paragraphs of 10 seconds of 720P video.

In other words, the "modular" concept of PogoCam is fully embodied in the ease of disassembly. In addition, it can also adapt to most ordinary sunglasses, plain glasses, industrial protective glasses and so on. On its official website, it lists some suitable people, such as doctors, engineers, police, etc., but I think ordinary consumers may find it difficult to accept PogoCam, which is oversized but has a low resolution, to appear on his sunglasses temples.

The PogoCam is priced at US$129 (approximately RMB 890) and is expected to be first exhibited at the CES Consumer Electronics Show in January next year. The official launch time will be 3 or 4 months. (Author: Sean O'Kane compilation: Linda)
