MicroLED has the advantages of self-illumination, no burn-in, and can drive ultra-high resolution, which is considered to be the development direction of future display. At CES earlier this year, Samsung released the 146-inch "The Wall" MicroLED flagship TV.

It is understood that in addition to a breakthrough in size, LG's TV will also be thinner than Samsung's 80mm. Regarding the rumors, LG spokesperson did not confirm, but said that LG is indeed developing and researching MicroLED technology.

At present, LG's TVs mainly use LCD and OLED panels, but because the OLED panel burn-in problem is always uncontrollable, Samsung refuses to use them in large-size TVs and longer power-on devices.

In July of this year, Samsung secretly demonstrated a 73-inch MicroLED TV at an internal meeting, which may be unveiled at this IFA. In addition, Samsung confirmed that it will release a higher-end MicroLED TV next year, with the thickness reduced to 30mm.
