In the first half of the year, strong export of LED lighting products

According to the data of China Customs, the export of semiconductor lighting products in China in the first quarter of 2013 was picking up.

In the first quarter of 2013, the export value of packaged devices was nearly 640 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 16.5% from the same period of last year, and the number of exports reached 13.274 billion, an increase of 18% year-on-year, and the average price dropped slightly; while the price of device imports dropped. The import amount increased by 4.5% year-on-year, while the quantity decreased, so the import price of the device increased significantly.

LED lighting application products are classified according to the caliber of “unlisted lamps and lighting devices” in the customs category. In the first quarter of 2013, exports grew strongly compared to the same period of last year, and the export value was nearly US$1.6 billion, an increase of 32%. On the import side, the amount has also increased by a certain amount, but the number of imports in terms of the statistical units of customs has decreased significantly.
