Emerson Network Power Launches MTC600 Series 600 Watt MICROTCA Power Pack

Emerson Network Power has introduced a range of compact stand-alone voltage regulator solutions for the MroTCA system. The new MTC600 series power packs are fully compliant with the PICMGMicroTCA.01.0 specification and are available in AC and DC input versions to support the operation of power shelves, chassis and other systems. With a rated output of 600 watts, the power pack can perform all in-stream power conversion, power management, and power protection functions to meet the needs of a full-load MicroTCA system.
The MTC600 series MicroTCA power pack is a high power density, single-ample component; the AC input MTC600-AC model is 12HP high, and the DC input MTC600-48 model is 9HP high. The MTC600-AC has an input current range of 90 to 264 volts and is compatible with single-phase power supplies worldwide. The MTC600-48 has an input current range of -39.5 to -72 volts for the -48 volt and -60 volt plants. . The MTC600-48 also supports 1+1 input redundancy. Its built-in O-ring device provides both A and B inputs, and both supply and return lines are fitted with internal fuses.
Both models of the MTC600 power pack feature 16 output paths, each capable of delivering 12 volts @ 7.6 amps of payload power and 3.3 volts @ 150 mA of regulated power. For a complete MicroTCA system consisting of 12 AdvancedMCs (AMCs), 2 MicroTCA Carrier Centers (MCHs), and 2 Cooling Units (CUs), the above configuration is sufficient for the user. After the MTC600 power pack is started, it automatically supplies power to the MCH and CU system components; all other MTC600 output paths are controlled by the bearer manager through communication with the power pack's built-in Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI).
All MTC600 series power packs support N+1 output redundancy and hot swap operation; removing or adding a power pack will not cause a fault or system misalignment. In addition, the power pack can also isolate the power pack and the path. All MTC600 series power packs support N+ barriers. They have the basic functions of a highly practical system. Even if one power pack fails, it will not cause other power packs to shut down.
The MTC600 series power packs are fully functional, unaffected by over-pressure and over-temperature conditions, and equipped with advanced equipment to monitor and report power system status and operating conditions. The 16 payload power supply outputs and each 3.3 VDC regulated power supply output are short-circuit proof, providing status feedback to the bearer manager; in the event of a fault, the corresponding path will automatically shut down without affecting the other 15 normal operations.
Emerson Network Power's MTC600 Series MicroTCA Power Pack provides a complete stand-alone solution: its input power modulation has all the necessary EMI filtering, transient suppression, input inrush current limiting and power supply rejection. At full load, the power pack can operate at NEBS-compliant ambient temperatures. The minimum cold start temperature is -20 ° C, and the short-time operating temperature of +55 ° C will not damage the power pack.
The power pack complies with the EN55022 Class A standard for conducted and radiated interference and meets applicable electromagnetic immunity standards, including EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, and -6. The power pack is also certified to IEC 60950-1 safety.
The MTC600 Series MicroTCA power packs can be ordered from now on, with standard lead times typically 8 weeks. Orders for 100 MTC600-AC and MTC600-48 are priced at $865 and $825, respectively.

Assembled Patch Cable
