Two 2N2647 single-junction transistors are used as clock generators for two 4017 chips, a single "conventional" push-button switch that operates two clock generators simultaneously, diodes D1 and D2 isolate two clock circuits, and S1 runs both. The 4017 counter/readout circuit is identical to the operation.
