802.11ac Introduction

802.11ac, an 802.11 wireless local area network (WLAN) communication standard, communicates via the 5GHz band (which is also the reason for its name). In theory, it can provide up to 1 Gbps of bandwidth for multi-station WLAN communications, or a single connection with a minimum of 500 Mbps transmission bandwidth.

802.11ac is the successor to 802.11n. It employs and extends the air interface concept derived from 802.11n, including: wider RF bandwidth (up to 160MHz), more MIMO spatial streams (up to 8), multi-user MIMO, and higher-order modulation (up to 256QAM).

Make sure that the access point (AP) or wi-fi router supports the 5 GHz band and is configured for 11ac mode.

If you are not sure whether the ap is configured for 11ac, contact the ap manufacturer.

1, channel

This setting controls the channels that the AP uses to communicate with client devices on the wi-fi network.

By default, most ap should set this to Auto. We do not recommend changing this setting unless you:

Have a good understanding of the wi-fi channel

Learn how to identify the least crowded channel in your environment

2, the width of the channel

For optimal performance and compatibility, enable support for all channel widths. If only the 40MHz or 80MHz configuration is configured, this setting prevents legacy devices that support only 20MHz from connecting to the AP.

3 (wireless) mode

This setting controls the type of wi-fi device (802.11a/b/s/ac) that can be connected to the AP.

For best performance and compatibility, enable support for all wireless modes.

If only the 11ac mode is configured, legacy devices that only support 11n or 11 a/g cannot connect to the AP.

Metal film resistors

Metal Film resistor is Film resistor (Film Resistors) of a kind.It is the high temperature vacuum coating technology will be closely attached to the porcelain nickel chromium alloy or similar bar surface skin membrane, after debugging cutting resistance, in order to achieve the final requirements precision resistance, then add appropriate joint cutting, and on its surface coated with epoxy resin sealing protection. As it is a lead resistance, it is convenient for manual installation and maintenance, and is used in most household appliances, communications, instruments and instruments.
