In order to enable LED Lighting products to have clear general standards like fluorescent products, such as the number of LEDs included in LED lights, LED mounting methods and spacing, and safety standards. Recently, Japanese LED manufacturers such as Nichia, Toyota Synthetic, Matsushita Electric and other Japanese companies have joined hands with relevant Japanese authorities to prepare relevant standards in the spring of 2004, and plan to develop a general standard for LED lighting products in 2004. Japanese LED manufacturers also hope to develop standards that become global standards.
