Summary:

The ADG3304 is a bidirectional logic level shifter with four bidirectional channels. It can be used in multi-voltage digital systems such as SPI and MICROWIRE interfaces for data transfer between low voltage DSP/controllers and high voltage devices. The internal structure of the device allows bidirectional logic level shifting without the need for additional signals to set the direction of the transition.

The logic level applied to the VCCA can be set to the logic level of the device A, and the VCCY is responsible for setting the logic level of the Y terminal. To ensure proper operation, VCCA must always be lower than VCCY. The VCCA-compatible logic signal applied to the A side of the device appears at the VCCY compatible level on the Y side. Similarly, the VCCY-compatible logic level applied to the Y side of the device appears at the VCCA compatible logic level on the A side.

The enable pin (EN) provides a three-state mode of operation for the A and Y pins. When the EN pin is pulled low, the pins on both ends are in a high impedance state. The EN pin is referenced to the VCCA supply voltage and is driven high during normal operation.

Available in a compact 14-lead TSSOP and 12-lead WLCSP package, the ADG3304 is guaranteed to operate from 1.15 V to 5.5 V and operates over the ?40°C to +85°C temperature range.
